Meet the Staff!

Bob Gunn

Bob Gunn- Service Technician

Our most senior technician and a former HVAC business owner himself, Bob has over 30 years’ experience in this field.  Trained by the U.S. Navy Engineering Department in sheet metal fabrication, he then spent his time as a commercial contractor developing expertise across a number of disciplines.  Bob holds multiple NATE certifications and you’d be hard-pressed to find a system- no matter how old or rare- that he hasn’t seen before.  When not troubleshooting equipment, Bob divides his time between hunting and volunteering with various organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America, the American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus.

Candy Bailey

Candy Bailey- Office Manager

Candy (short for Candice) has been working full-time at Bailey’s since 2010, but could often be found helping out in the summers before, then, too.  Candy works hard to give the same dedication and commitment to Bailey’s that she did at her alma mater, Fresno State, and if you’re getting a new system installed, it’s likely she will be your guide from go-ahead to final inspection, making the process as painless as possible.  In her spare time, she likes trying new recipes from a variety of cuisines and teaching water aerobics.

Mitchell Bailey

Mitchell Bailey- Owner

Junior (Lee) Bailey started Bailey’s Air Conditioning in 1976 courtesy of the training provided to him by the U.S. Army, passing on all this knowledge and skill to his son Mitch, who has since taken over.  Mitch has 38 years of direct on-the-job experience, and continues to supplement his education with training through PG&E.  A member of ACCA, IHACI, and RSES, he currently holds six different NATE certifications, along with certifications in duct design, load calculations, Title 24, Wrightsoft, zoning, and home automation.  Under his C-20 and general contractor’s license, he has serviced and installed thousands of systems and built more than 30 homes over the years.  Mitch considers himself somewhat of a Renaissance man, with a diverse range of hobbies including, but not limited to, flying, sailing, rock climbing, volleyball, astrophysics, astronomy, poker, and home brewery.  If you’ve ever stopped by our shop, you’ve no doubt been gifted with a bottle of Mitch’s homemade beer or wine!

Kimberly Bailey

Kimberly Bailey- Accounting

Kim had already been studying bookkeeping in high school when she met and then married Mitch, so eventually joining him in the office at Bailey’s ended up being a perfect and serendipitous fit.  Bailey’s would truly be in chaos without Kim’s expertise, seeing how she oversees all the important clerical work that keeps a business up and running.  Although if she had her way, she’d be at home in her garden or sipping a cup of tea with her latest sewing project!

Jacob Thompson

Jacob Thompson

Much like the Bailey's clan, Jake came to HVAC via family- he's been working in the field with his uncle since he was eight years old. As the summer season gets busy, Jake has come on board to help Brandon make sure our inventory and trucks are stocked, our shop clean, and all jobs are running as smoothly as they can. Not to mention that with his EPA certification (Types I & II) and N.A.T.E. certification, you're likely to see him on the job as well. Downtime for Jake means working on his truck and playing music.

Robert Aguilar

Robert Aguilar - Installer

Much like Jim, Robert has come back to Bailey's after a hiatus, but whose quick and impeccable work during our stint in new tract home construction left quite an impression. He brings those same skills acquired on the job over his thirteen and a half years in the industry to his installations now, along with strong people skills and a friendly and outgoing attitude. After work, Robert is spending time with his family (including a new baby!), taking them on bike rides, and employing his bilingualism to help translate to and from Spanish for friends and neighbors.
